WAIVER OF LIABILITY
RECITALS
Applicant agrees to volunteer his/her time, effort and services to assist RUBY WHISKERS ANIMAL RESCUE in pursuit of its care of animals.
Applicant recognizes and understands the inherent risks associated with the care of animals, including but not limited to the possibility of any injury to person and/or property which Applicant may suffer as a result of the unpredictable nature and/or provocation of animals.
RUBY WHISKERS ANIMAL RESCUE may agree to accept the donation of Applicant’s time, effort and services subject to Applicant’s agreement to the terms contained in this Waiver.
AGREEMENT
I, VOLUNTEER APPLICANT, agree to serve as a member of the volunteer team at the discretion of RUBY WHISKERS ANIMAL RESCUE.
I will abide by the policies and procedures as explained to me by RUBY WHISKERS ANIMAL RESCUE during any volunteer training and/or activity.
I give my consent to provide my name, use of my voice, use of my likeness, including any and all photographs, videos and/or any other electronic media format (i.e .gifs, memes, etc) to the media for advertising, programming, or promotional activities for RUBY WHISKERS ANIMAL RESCUE, in my capacity as a volunteer, and understand that I will receive no compensation for giving this permission. In consideration of the mutual promises of the parties contained in this Waiver, or of the acts to be performed by either, that parties agree that Volunteer hereby knowingly and voluntarily waives any and all claims, damages or causes of action and/or legal proceedings, which Volunteer may have, incur or attempt to bring against RUBY WHISKERS ANIMAL RESCUE, its officers, directors, agents, affiliates, employees and/or anyone acting on its behalf.
RUBY WHISKERS ANIMAL RESCUE Volunteers are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior in their dealings with others and be cognizant that their personal behavior may reflect on RUBY WHISKERS ANIMAL RESCUE. Inappropriate behavior includes any activity through which a Volunteer reduces or destroys his or her effectiveness, the effectiveness of fellow Volunteer’s, or the ability of RUBY WHISKERS ANIMAL RESCUE to serve its supporters. This includes but is not limited to engaging in antisocial, discriminatory, or illegal activities or demonstrating inappropriate behavior.
This Waiver shall be binding upon the parties hereto, their heirs, assigns and legal representatives.
