Vet Examining Dog

VET AGREEMENT/CONTRACT

WE OFFER A FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM!

In an effort to save more animals we offer the pets to go to their adoptive homes right away. Sometimes they require some extra vetting whether it be a simple vaccine or a spay/neuter.

If  you decide to take the pet home you that still requires vetting you will pay the adoption fee before taking them home. The vetting will be under the care and financially covered by Ruby Whiskers Animal Rescue up until after the sterilization/final vaccines. After the sterilization/vaccines, they will be fully vetted and we can send you the adoption contract to sign! And they are officially yours!

During the foster-to-adopt period we would never pull the pet out of your home and into another home. It is YOUR pet. We are legally bound by our license with the Department of Agriculture and are only allowed to adopt out fully vetted animals. That’s why we wait to send you the contract until after the vetting is final.

OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER
We neuter puppies no earlier than 16 weeks.

PUPPIES: NPOG (no paws on the ground) rule! VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Puppies require 3 Distemper shots and 2 weeks after the last one to be fully vaccinated.

Keeping their paws off common ground areas like public places and even your front yard helps protect them from picking up dirt, bacteria, dangerous diseases, or any chemicals that might be on the ground or in the grass. We’re using this protocol to protect the animals either because they have not been fully vaccinated or may have a compromised immune system.
